The visitor enters under the stone arches of the front porch to be greeted by a magnificent handmade solid Jarrah front door & glazed sidelights. The splendor continues through into the most elegant of entrance lobbies, where long wide Tuart floor boards take the eye past the ornately carved timber wall paneling, under the detailed ceiling features through classic arches right out to the stone water feature in the back yard.
Off to the left from the entrance is the formal lounge with a warm fire and cosy window seat looking out towards the front gardens one way & to a tiled courtyard the other. Further down the Tuart lined passage are two well appointed bedrooms both with private ensuite bathrooms and a very large music room that leads on out to the manicured rear gardens.
Off to the right from the front door is a subtle passage way the leads to an elegant powder room, large laundry, direct access to the garage & an almost secret set of stairs leading to the loft study over the garage.
Back inside, central in the house, is a spectacular timber staircase featuring a painted balustrade with timber handrail leading up to the living areas. The floor level under the stairs has been cleverly lowered to create a large wine cellar & a nearby dumbwaiter deposits the days shopping direct into the special wet kitchen above.
At the top of the stairs in the well lit foyer one can walk straight ahead to the glass roofed conservatory balcony, off to the left to the Master suite or to the right into the living areas.
The Master suite consists of a luxurious bedroom complete with old fashioned window seat, a makeup area, exquisite ensuite containing a huge double shower, marble everywhere & a massive spa bath. A large well lit walk in dressing room completes the suite.
As in the floor below, an almost hidden passage provides direct access to a most interesting loft study that gazes out through gable windows to the beautiful vista beyond.
A right hand turn from the central stair lobby opens up into the voluminous living areas. A timber lined barrel vaulted ceiling guides one between the old style detailed open kitchen (complete with a separate large hidden scullery) & the formal dining room centred under another timber lined vaulted ceiling.
The comfortable informal lounge sits at the end of this area under a soaring raked ceiling and it is terminated with a massive stone fire place framed by an old Jarrah mantle piece & beautiful Jarrah cabinet work each side. Both the dining & living have cute Julliette balconies to partake in the wonderful views to the south while the dining also has access to the glass roofed conservatory & the living opens on to the outdoor BBQ alfresco through massive bifold doors.
A beautiful home where the owners painstaking attention to detail has been matched by Brian Burke Homes to create something we are all extremely proud of.
